OK this is an adorable little lamp. It is a tad on the bright side (relative to most nightlights) but it is perfect for our use - which is to keep an eye on a newborn who is currently sleeping next to our bed. We wanted something brighter than a typical nightlight but still dim enough to not be bothersome. We also have a 2 year old who I suspect will appreciate having a brighter nightlight once he gets old enough to start being afraid of the dark.
