Review of Hall Tree Umbrella Stand - Black

Received it today (1/12/08)I had some immediate doubts as I unpacked it, but I have decided to keep it and it does look nice in my entry.Assembly is not difficult.1 screw for each of the 4 coat hook brackets, tightened easily with the provided allen wrench. The design is less precise than I would expect. There is a pin that fits in one hole and then the single screw. Two screws would be better and stop the slight wobble, even after over tightening. It is not wrought iron, but tube with a wrought iron finish.Still the base is fairly heavy and the unit is stable. The top assembly is two poles that screw together and then down over a double ended all-thread.Be sure to get the thread all the way in to the bottom before putting on the top or again you get some lean and some wobble.I also had to sand off two of the rubber pads a little to get it to sit level on the floor (the floor is level).A little more work on my part than I would have liked, but I still think it was an ok buy and looks nicer than the price.
