Okay, so you get what you pay for.The lamp works, the shade is acceptable, although cheaply made (the seam is very noticeable), and the base is ugly as a red-headed step child.Not even close to being the color of teak...sort of a muddy espresso brown.It still provides the ambient light we wanted, so we kept it but hid it behind a big plant!
