I got this patio set because it had the ability to seat up to 8 people.I liked its classic lines and that it was made of wood and didn't look like gimmicky patio furniture from your large, chain retailers.It assembled fairly easily (at least as I observed hubby assembling...he didn't mutter and grown too much).Spacious...we keep the extendor leaf in, even with only six chairs.Solid...we live in an area that can get very windy and blow things away pretty easily, and after several windy storms these chairs/table haven't budged.
Cons:with the first rain the color dripped to the concrete patio and our patio now has a wood colored stain on it.We've had it set up for about a month now and have had a few good rains...the furniture is pretty washed out looking already.Fortunately this weathered look doesn't bother me, but I wish the color were better sealed.
One last Con: we purchased a separate umbrella and the hole at the bottom to put the umbrella pole in its base was too small.Hubby had to spend some time shaving away some wood in the hole to make it big enough for the umbrella.
For the money, I'm very pleased.
